While at Britelite, we were hired by Visa to support its worldwide sports sponsorship program throughout 2018. We provided product strategy, iOS and Android development, and on-site guest support for the Visa Now app, which was the event passport for attendees and Visa’s hospitality members.

Additionally, we designed and developed an engaging tablet application for Visa’s sponsorship sales team that previewed their planned programming at both the World Cup and the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics. The app used 3D design and digital interface modules to excite clients about activation opportunities at these prestigious events. Dynamic content and information, such as hospitality programs, backstage experiences, nearby tourist destinations, etc., were used to bring host countries and cities to life.

For the experiential activation, Britelite created the Perfect Pint, an automated beer pouring kiosk that used sensors, a custom flow algorithm, and contactless payment tools to deliver beer to VIP guests of Visa’s hospitality program at the World Cup. This project tightly integrated multiple hardware and software components for a highly visible and personalized customer-facing experience. Kiosks were deployed in the US and Russia and were managed onsite by venue teams.

We created a storytelling construct that wove Visa’s contactless payment capabilities with data from each visitor to the kiosk using sensors to detect their mobile app and pull their profile. Every visit to the Perfect Pint resulted in a unique and customized story for the user—whether it was using augmented reality to map their face with the flag of their team or providing information about beer drinking in their home country.

The style drew from the Visa brand but custom illustrations and patterns were designed for the Perfect Pint. Graphical elements and motion were used to add clarity to the user experience and create a fun, playful engagement. The resulting experience kept users engaged with the kiosks for more than just the beer.
